In an earlier Kulanu post, B observed:
You have a right to decide how you want to live. In Judaism there are many doors of entry and many ways to service Judaism. This is not a one size fits all religion. Thank G-D. B
Now, Kohen Kosi responds:
Yes "B" i agree. Not knowing much back ground i still agree that Judaism is not a one size fits all religion. Further we/i BetEl Zimbabwe do not think Yisraelim have a religion but ((( "a way of life" ))) !!!. Proselysying though Greek to me means - "to process by informing." Apparently our ancient Yisraelim would tell or inform those visiting our home territories in Palestine how to get along safely in our lands territories. We think its meaning was then mis interpreted by the Greeks "as is usual" to mean they had now been converted to Judaism and were in fact now Yiraelites or Hebrew. In that way taking a way of life and religionising it. We all know by now how they seemed to envy us or rather our way of life so much that they did anything to be like or be associated with us. By any means did they twist or hell-bend everything. we do resulting in hell-bending or Hell-enism. They called customs and immigration a conversion; a black Elijah, to a white John the Baptist; a black Shaul to Saul then to a white Greek called Paul. Then just to stick it to us changed, a black dread-locked Nazarene, Yoshua ben Yusef to a (greek god Jezues) after Zeus to this amusing list of helling. Oh how they love to mix everything up! E.g. Council of Nicea. No pedestrian simplicity!
We do not consider conventional so-called conversions kosher anyhow. We do speak openly to other Yisrael about our roots especially those lost sheep among us but only to restore their/our dignity. We share in the light of our Torah to all willing to share in (IT), whether Hebrew or not but if they are not born Yisraelim particularly through the seed or father, then what are we supposed to do? Hell and twist the Torah to suite them? It may be all Greek to me but i think hell means to turn or bend. e.g.. helical, helicopter. turn or twist.
Do we look like hell-enists? or helicopters for that matter? Even in these troubled times we must see the light and make each other smile once in a while. Lets keep it real we are an intelligent people, just check out this Kulanu forum what wonderful minds! The truth is on our side but only if we want it and want it un-helled. Accepting the light with a straight forward standard Bamitzva to mark that special occasion is not necessarily a conversion but more a Gulah perhaps. What-ever let's get it straight not hell-bent.
